Nokia N97 is Nokia’s second touchscreen phone, powered by Symbian S60 mobile operating system. When N97 was announced in the fourth quarter of 2008, Nokia claimed that the N97 was a desktop pocket phone, rivaling any PDA phone in the market. The N97 features a big 3.5-inch TFT Touch-sensitive 16:9 widescreen (640 x 360 pixels), beating Apple iPhone’s screen. Besides that, the N97 has a 5.0-megapixel digital camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for taking high-quality pictures. Nokia has announced Nokia N96 in the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, in Spain, this is supposed to be the most feature packed smartphone made till date.
Nokia N96 has the the dual-sliding function like N95 it is also sporting a pair of gaming keys to the multimedia cluster on extra slide panel that can be used for N-Gage games. It has a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and Carl Zeiss lenses accentuated by a dual LED flash that can also function as a video recording light.
